Here in Bath and North East Somerset, we’re lucky enough to be surrounded by colour and culture.

To the south, the breath-taking Mendip Hills, boasting dramatic gorges and ancient woodland.

At our heart, the historic City of Bath. A World Heritage Site in its own right, but also a vibrant patchwork of charming shopping streets and public parks, bustling markets, and beautiful waterways, including the historic Kennet and Avon canal and the iconic River Avon.

Something for everyone

Whether you’re drawn to the tranquil lakes of the Chew Valley, or the culture and community in the centre of Bath, there’s something for everyone.

There’s a huge array of walking and cycling routes in the area too, including the Bristol to Bath Railway Path, which opens an entirely new city to explore!

Family friendly

We understand that family is a priority, wherever we are. Bath and North East Somerset is a truly lovely place to raise a family, and B&NES Council offer flexible working to suit you.

With a wide range of high-quality schools (90% rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted) and an abundance of family-friendly activities, parents have plenty of options.
