Simon mentors individuals who are in "work poverty", helping them progress and improve their lives via the Future Bright Scheme.
Simon works on the Future Bright career progression coaching project, pioneered by WECA (The West of England Combined Authority). Since joining us, he has made good use of our online Learning Zone training courses, and also benefited from training at Bath University's Department of Psychology. He says, 'I've learnt a lot about myself and aspirations.'
He travels all over our region to meet and help clients, so he finds hot-desking at different council offices particularly useful. He feels that flexible working gives him the space to work more independently, "and the 'trust' element improves morale and makes you feel more valued."
Simon appreciates having such positive colleagues, and finds his job very rewarding: "I thrive on helping people and enjoy improving someone's life, and the Future Bright Project really does this. We have an amazing team, and this makes a huge difference in a positive way, to make us perform to the best of our abilities."
